As Haley’s story spread across the internet, it started getting picked up by various news outlets and publications. The mother was even approached by Good Morning America, who asked for an interview over the phone.
They, like thousands of other people online, were clearly happy to see the mom put her foot down in a way that educated her child. Hassell was understandably overwhelmed by all the positive reception she received for her post, amazed that so many people shared her point of view. Unfortunately, not everyone had nice things to say about her.
