While most parents believed that Haley was in the right, some felt that her actions weren’t appropriate. Hassell apparently received several messages in her inbox from angry parents who considered her a “monster mother.”
In her interview, the mom revealed that people told her she was a “bad parent and bad parents raised bad children.” They supposedly accused her of “publicly shaming my daughter,” although Haley disagreed. She wasn’t trying to humiliate Presleigh; she just wanted to teach her a lesson. Besides, she posted her rant to let off steam, not to broadcast her problems to the world.
