It wasn’t just in her inbox that Hassell received some hate. Several of the comments on her Facebook posts also targeted the woman for being a bad mom. One woman accused Haley of trying to “fear monger” her child and suggested she take Presleigh shopping with her next time to avoid buying something she didn’t want.
However, as multiple people – including Hassell – pointed out to her, she did buy something that the child asked for. It was only after she was presented with the pencil box that the girl decided she didn’t want it anymore.
