Among the thousands of people who appreciated Haley’s story, there was one person who was especially moved by it. That was a mom from Ogden, Utah, who considered herself one of the parents that couldn’t afford school supplies for her children.
She sent Hassell a message thanking her for teaching Presleigh to be grateful for what she has because her own kids aren’t so fortunate. She said her daughter was starting school for the first time and she wouldn’t be showing up with the same things as the other students. That brought Haley to tears.
