After all, Haley wrote in her post that as a child, she’d give “anything to have all the things” her daughter has. She wasn’t as lucky as her daughter, and the fact that Presleigh chose to act that way stroke a nerve even more.
At first, before sending the pencil case to Utah, her original plan was have Presleigh herself give the gift to someone else who needs it, personally. That way, she could see for herself what it’s like to be grateful for something you receive.
