In her post she said she might have overreacted with her actions but still she felt it was the right thing to do. Instead of bursting out on the child and yelling at her, she took to rationalizing and realizing that teaching her a lesson in a different might be more helpful long-term.
Most of the reactions online definitely agreed with the latter. Educating your child is a tough job, especially since no one teaches you how to really do it on a daily basis. So when you have a chance to instil a valuable life-lesson, you just do it.
