After putting in the extra effort to buy her daughter the pencil box, Haley couldn’t wait to see Presleigh’s face. She was sure the girl would be ecstatic about her new gift, which is why she was so excited when she handed it over.
However, Presleigh was far from pleased with the pencil box. After looking it over, she threw it in the trash and stormed off to her bedroom. Clearly upset, she yelled that the gift was “stupid” because “everyone in my class has that” before slamming her door. Haley was lost for words.
