Of course, after spending money on the pencil box, the mother wasn’t just going to let it go to waste. Instead, she planned to give it to a child whose parents were less fortunate than them. Not every mom and dad can afford to spend money on luxuries like pencil boxes.
Plenty of them struggle with putting food on the table, let alone buying extras to keep their kids happy. Evidently, Presleigh didn’t realize quite how lucky she was to never go without. However, perhaps Haley’s plan for the gift would soon change that.
