Haley didn’t specify how long she planned on making her daughter use the Ziploc bag, but we imagine it won’t be forever. Once Presleigh has truly learned to be grateful for what she has, her mom will probably consider buying her a proper pencil box to use.
However, the Ziploc bag will always be there as a reminder not to take advantage of the things she owns. So many other kids around the world aren’t as lucky as her, and that’s something she should never forget. Otherwise, she might lose even more of her possessions.
