One common movie theater rule is that you can’t take your own food and drink into the movie. However, despite this rule, people often do so anyway, somewhat understandably not wanting to pay the above-average prices for snacks and drinks that you tend to get at movie theaters.
People often try to sneak food in under their clothes – or in a personal bag which employees aren’t allowed to search. As such, a sort of equilibrium has formed over the years, where it’s just accepted that food gets snuck in.
