The employee apologized to the customer but made it clear there was nothing that could be done. Oddly, the customer did not leave but remained there, continually making a show of how disappointed they were. When the manager returned they spoke to this patron, who then left immediately.
The manager revealed that this person would appear every time the movie theater ran a promotional deal – intentionally arriving after the items would have run out in the hopes of getting free tickets instead. It had never worked, but he kept trying.
