Whenever you have a movie that ends with the viewer learning that everything was all in the main character’s head, or that “it was all a dream” – well, let’s just say that there’s a chance some people might get mad.
When you have twists like that, you’ve got to be a little bit more subtle with it, and that’s not what happened here. Many people actually predicted the ending – that Leonardo DiCaprio’s character wasn’t a detective, rather in the asylum himself – after watching the trailer.
