When Mitch McDeere, played by Tom Cruise, joins forces with one of the most profitable accounting and tax law firms in the country, we could’ve predicted that not everything was pure behind the scenes.
Essentially that’s what the “twist” ends up being – that the executives at his company are actually all corrupt crooks – and yet why do we not feel so surprised? A more shocking twist would be if his company wasn’t corrupt, wouldn’t you say?
