Remember Me could have sufficed as a nod to lovers of Robert Pattinson. It could have been a simple Rom-Com, and if not that, at the very least a sad film which didn’t have to bring a tragic historical event into the mix.
The twist at the end is that Pattinson’s character actually dies in 9-11. And while this was obviously extremely sad, some people found this to be a tasteless twist. Did he really need to pass away in an event that would remind so many of that sad day?
