There were a whole boatload of people who were not only upset, but also extremely confused over the way The Life of David Gale ended.
After an entire film which focused on David Gale pleading his innocence, we find out that he was actually telling the truth in the end – but this also opened a myriad of new quandaries regarding the nature of the crime itself. Even at the end, it feels like there is a lot more deceit that has yet to be uncovered.
