Twists are practically a staple when it comes to the Mission: Impossible series, and while this is the very reason so many people loved the films, it’s also the very thing that alienated so many others.
The truth is that all of the fake outs and double crosses could’ve worked much better if there simply weren’t so many of them. For instance, Tom Cruise’s character is constantly on a mission to find the mole – and as we follow him throughout his quest to find the culprit, we find ourselves getting exhausted and confused throughout the whole thing.
