Matthew (Emile Hirsch) is about to graduate from high school when his life gets taken for a whirlwind. He meets “the girl next door” – who he soon learns used to work in the adult film industry. The pair end up falling for one another – but while this movie is touching, it’s also a bit inconsistent.
For instance, the “girl” – Danielle, played by Elisha Cuthbert – is all over the place with her personality. First, we think she’s moved on from her past life. Then, she briefly goes back to her old life. Then she’s Miss Good Girl again – it’s hard to keep track. Not to mention several other storylines that have us wondering what this movie’s actually about.
