Before disposable razors were a thing, many bathroom medicine cabinets had a small slit where people could safely get rid of their used, dull razor blades. The funny thing is, the blade bank could never be “unloaded” like normal garbage or recycling bin – the blades just stayed there, sitting in a hole in the wall. If you ever find yourself tearing down the walls of an old bathroom, be careful! You never know what you might find hidden in the walls.
