The term “nerd” refers to people who characterized as unusual, peculiar or overly studious, which is ironic because all of the cool kids were eating Nerds candies from the mid-1980s on. These little pebble-shaped treats are essentially all sugar, and that must be what makes them so delicious. Nerds often come in split boxes with two different flavors on each side, the two most popular being “Gotta Have Grape” and “Seriously Strawberry.” The other flavor options range from sour to sweet, often with the two contrasting each other.
