Fun Dip is just that – fun. Each packet comes with white, edible sugar sticks called Lik-A-Stix that kids (and adults if they want, no judgement) can can use to dip in and enjoy what is essentially colored and flavored sugar. The powdered sugar can be compared to that of Pixy Stix, another popular candy from back in the day. Fun Dip was originally without Lik-A-Stix, but manufacturers eventually added them to make it easier to eat. Realistically, though, most kids probably end up pouring the sugar into their mouths anyway.
