Though the idea behind the name of this chocolate confection has been debated for decades, Baby Ruth has become one of the most influential candy bars of all time, according to TIME. The peanut, caramel, and nougat bar is covered in chocolate and was first introduced in 1921, but it really took off after appearing in Caddyshack in 1980 and again in The Goonies in 1985. Baby Ruth was also comically mentioned in The Sandlot in 1993 when a character mistakes MLB player Babe Ruth’s name for Baby Ruth.
