In 2014’s Edge of Tomorrow, Major William Cage, played by Tom Cruise, finds himself in a bind. He’s trapped in a time loop, forced to re-live the day he loses his life in battle against hostile alien forces. The only person he manages to convince of what’s happening is Sergeant Rita Vrataski, played by Emily Blunt.
The filmmakers revealed they couldn’t find a spot where the two could kiss and it would feel organic, so Blunt basically created one herself in a scene where the two say goodbye (noticing a theme?). “It just felt right,” Blunt explained.
