When Helena Bonham Carter made her big screen début in Oscar-winning 1985 romance A Room with A View, she was a fresh-faced 18-year-old newcomer. Not only had she not kissed anyone on-camera before, she hadn’t kissed anyone period!
It was for that reason that the crew looked for a “magic moment” for her to kiss co-star Julian Sands, according to Bonham Carter herself. That moment finally came in a scene set in a field, and she found it hard staying on her feet in high hills – as well as not breaking out laughing!
