Quick, what’s the best part of New Girl? If you answered anything other than Schmidt, sorry, you lose. The cringeworthy relationship between Schmidt and Nick is probably the highlight of this sitcom. In fact, Jake Johnson (Nick) said Max Greenfield (Schmidt) probably kissed him more times than any girl he’s ever dated!
These often aggressive kisses were, believe it or not, improvised by Greenfield. He even complained that the crew told him they were inappropriate and usually edited them out. “Finally,” he said triumphantly, “they put it in after about the seventh time I’d done it.”
