According to her very own account on Ellen, comedienne Ali Wong created the critically acclaimed Netflix comedy Always Be My Maybe simply so she could smooch Daniel Dae Kim and Keanu Reeves, playing himself in a very memorable, hilarious performance.
So those kisses were definitely not improvised, but in one kissing scene, Dae Kim improvised lifting Wong in the air, which left her, well, floating. “It wasn’t a problem for him,” she recounted. “He just lifted me up and he wasn’t like, ‘Ow, ow, ow,’ and he wasn’t swearing or anything.” Life’s small wins, right?
