Naturally, Kayla couldn’t have possibly known or even guessed at why the Riddles were there without their baby daughter. Still, she was at a loss for words.
“Oh my goodness,” she remembered thinking, covering her mouth in shock. “I didn’t know what to say.” So instead of speaking, she listened. She listened as Debbie and Shaun spoke about their daughter, and showed her all the photos they had of her. Even though they were obviously still devastated, the fact they knew she had touched someone else’s heart helped a little.
