Everyone knows the struggle of your teenage years – but Marie Osmond found growing up even more difficult, as her childhood was ruled by producers and high-ranking entertainment whizzes. When Marie was just 15-years-old, she was told by producers that she was overweight, “disgusting and a disgrace to my family.”
Although she was only 103 pounds at the time, she was forced to starve herself to reach 97 pounds. If she hadn’t done this, the producers would have canceled their TV show.
