Removing the excess skin was the final step in an epic transformation that signaled the end of Obie’s unhealthy lifestyle. By the time this skin was removed, Obie was like a brand new dog with a completely new weight. Thanks to his own determination, Nora’s hard work and belief in her adorable dachshund, and the work of a surgeon, Obie had been able to shed a whopping 54 lbs to reach his current weight of 1st 9 lbs. We have some serious weight-loss appreciation for those numbers. However, Obie wasn’t over with his journey just yet.
