[post_page_title]A jump off the edge[/post_page_title]
On February 14, 2007, Ewa and a team of 200 other paragliders stood on the edge of Mount Borah, New South Wales. They were training for next week’s world championships, so the determination was in the air. As the team made their last-minute checks and preparations, they received a warning of a storm brewing in the clouds to the north.
With the skies seemingly clear, Ewa and the team thought nothing of the warning. They were to be down on the ground before the storm was to come anyway. Strapped in, buckled up, and GPS turned on, Ewa took an almighty jump off the edge and the ground disappeared beneath her feet. She was flying, soaring. This is where she belonged. She loved this feeling of freedom so much.
