When you think of fish, you probably think of animals who just like to swim around and ignore the rest of the world, right? Well, think again. Fish can actually learn to recognize their owner as they adjust to their new home, and their eyesight is much better than most people imagine.
Because of this impressive eyesight, round goldfish bowls are completely illegal in Italy. Why? They’re officially banned because they believe it’s cruel to distort their perspective in such a way – and we think that’s a great idea.
