Meghan, who just gave birth, is the same age as Kate, but this was her first child. Her pregnancy, as well as that of any woman over the age of 35, is considered “geriatric,” which means the risk of complications are bigger compared to a younger woman’s pregnancy.
With three children already on the board, Kate may well be watching the clock at this point. Her window of opportunity for having another, relatively low-risk, pregnancy may soon close. Time will tell what she – and Prince William – end up deciding.
