The mom-of-three claims that one of the biggest reasons why women are unhappy with their bodies is due to the world of advertising. She explained, “Every day we are bombarded with images and advertising that present an unattainable ideal of what our bodies should look like.” Taryn believes that Photoshopped, digitally altered images are to blame for the rise of body image problems in women. So, she started a petition, which was signed by over 7,000 supporters, calling for mandatory labeling on Photoshopped photographs in Australia.
