In 2014, the mother and former bodybuilder decided to share two pictures of herself on Facebook. The first photo titled “before” was of her posing at a bodybuilding competition in her muscular pre-kid body, and the second captioned “after” was of her current and visibly less toned post-baby body, and a nice smile on her face. Although we have become used to seeing moms, especially celebrities, share before and after pictures on social media of themselves after birth and so many months later, usually showing off the unusually quick return of their lean figure with a hashtag like #fitmom – Taryn decided that she would provide women with a more realistic and honest view on post-baby bodies.
