We’ve seen enough sci-fi movies to know that something like this is never good. It’s either a wormhole to our imminent demise, or it’s a portal to another dimension – and we’d rather not know which one of those answers is correct. Although it looks ridiculously creepy, the people who live near the Ladybower Reservoir in Derbyshire, England, have to look at this on the regular. That’s because this man-made structure was constructed to stop the reservoir from flooding. All of the excess water simply drains down like a giant plug-hole.
