After the event, Carolynne confessed to WMUR that she was extremely embarrassed about all of the fuss her doll made that day – but realizes that Lt. Short was doing his job. After all, the doll was designed to look lifelike, so she should have known people would be worried if they saw it sitting alone in a boiling hot car. To make things easier in the future, Carolynne was asked by the local police force to keep a sticker on the window of her car, which explains that the baby is a doll.
