Of course when a new trend comes out, there are always going to be people who are critical. This was of course also the case with reborn dolls. People took to social media to criticize the dolls and those who choose to purchase them. The main complaint was pretty simple: people think they are creepy. Bystanders claimed they get an eery feeling when they see such a real-looking doll. Perhaps films such as Annabelle and Chucky have ruined the innocence of dolls.
