As Lt. Short took in the scene before him, he couldn’t believe his eyes. There, on the backseat of the car was a tiny baby who looked no more than a few months old. The baby was not moving and seemed to be asleep with a blanket over its body and a bottle in his hands. The police officer looked around the car and around the surrounding areas to see if the mother or father was nearby, but couldn’t see anyone coming close to the car. He just didn’t know what to do.
