[post_page_title]Staggering numbers[/post_page_title]
Since 1998, the safety organization, Kids, and Cars has counted the number of children who have passed away in hot cars – and the numbers are staggering. On average, a whopping 37 children pass away every year from either accidentally locking themselves in a hot car, or being deliberately left in there. The main cause of this mortality rate is the fact that children are more susceptible to vehicular heat stroke, especially those who are sitting in rear-facing car seats, as their relatives often forget that they are there.
