The arrival of Archie has meant that Meghan now has a reason to stay away from the public eye for a bit. For the last few months, she’s barely been seen as she’s become dedicated to her newborn. It’s common for women in the Royal Family to receive several months of maternity leave so they can adjust to motherhood. Although Meghan will be expected to return to her work commitments full-time in a matter of weeks, for now, she gets to enjoy some bonding with her child.
Considering everything she went through bringing the boy into the world, she’s certainly earned a break. Of course, it’s unclear just how much of a part the Duchess is actually playing in raising her kid. The couple is expected to hire a nanny – if they haven’t done so already – and that person may be looked on to do most of the child-rearing.
