Even the likes of cacti have to be tended to every now and then, as they require watering, feeding, and general trimming. This can be a huge amount of work for people who have busy lives and schedules, and it may be that you just don’t have the time. If this is the case, it’s probably best to avoid real plants.

Fake plants may not float everyone’s boat, but it’s fair to say that they do have a huge number of positive attributes. Most importantly, they do not require any form of care or attention. You can simply place them wherever you want in your home and admire their beauty for years on end. They will not pass away, they will not wilt, and they will always look as though they are fresh from the florist.

Of course, the biggest negative of fake plants is that they aren’t real. They don’t come with any of the health benefits as real plants, because they do not photosynthesize like real plants. They also don’t come with the chance to take on a project. You do not have to take care of them, which may be a positive for some, but a negative for the other.
