When Jon and Kate Plus 8 first aired, it looked like the most wholesome reality TV show to ever be created. A happy, young couple with their adorable twins and sextuplets – what could go wrong? As it turns out, a lot.
Being parents to eight young children and followed around by cameras started taking a toll on Jon and Kate’s relationship. Soon enough their marriage deteriorated and the show mostly consisted of them yelling at each other. They eventually went through an ugly divorce and custody battle, and are to this day on bad terms.
