Normally, we wait until we are in so much pain we can barely think straight to go to the doctor because doctors are pretty darn scary.
You never know what they’re going to tell you, and you never know what they’re going to do, so it’s just best to remain oblivious. Vintage photos like this one don’t exactly help our fear of the doctor, because this patient doesn’t look too happy. In fact, he looks far from it. From first glance, it looks as though this doctor is performing shock therapy on the patient, so we don’t blame him for looking so terrified.
