The path to the NFL began at San Jose State University in California for Jeff Garcia. He played for the Spartans while studying at San Jose but was thought to be too small to cut it in the NFL.
Instead, Garcia was drafted to the Canadian Football League, proving that he was more than a match for anyone, despite his size. Garcia made his way to the NFL by signing for the San Francisco 49ers, later trading to the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
