John Elway retired in 1999, but his legacy lives on thanks to the amazing number of Super Bowls he was able to lead his Denver Broncos teams to. Elway made it to the Super Bowl five times with the Broncos, helping them to win it twice.
When he retired he broke the record for the number of victories by a quarterback, 148, which has since been surpassed by Tom Brady, Brett Favre, and Peyton Manning. Besides the five Super Bowls, Elway led the Broncos to six AFC Championship Games.
