[post_page_title]Steve Young – Past[/post_page_title]
A legend of Brigham Young University football, Steve Young appeared destined for greatness from the beginning. He was picked in the 1984 draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but didn’t get the start he wanted.
The Buccaneers didn’t trust Young so drafted in another QB, forcing Young to look elsewhere. Eventually, he was traded to the San Francisco 49ers, finding a home and playing there for 13 years. Young was initially backup to Joe Montana at San Francisco, but earned his spot and led the 49ers to Super Bowl victory.
