Making use of the scholarship system, Donovan McNabb managed to play college football at Syracuse University. It was one of the only schools that gave him the opportunity, and he grabbed it with both hands.
McNabb impressed at college level and was the number two draft pick in 1999, being chosen by the Philadelphia Eagles. He was their starting QB and became of the most talented the league had ever seen, with the Eagles even retiring his number 5 jersey for a decade of service.
