In fact, it seems that Bacon was experiencing so many issues and so much discomfort with his breathlessness that he walked into hospital off the street and was admitted pretty soon afterward.
We can imagine this would probably have been reasonably scary for him, especially as he wouldn’t have known what was wrong to begin with. Well, as it turned out, the decision would be one of the best he would ever make. It was this decision that saved his life.
