Some TV characters just can’t help but bring the awkwardness to our screens, but most of the time it’s only them who feel the pain. It’s the mark of a great performer if they can make the audience at home feel the same emotions that their character is going through. Some of the all-time great performers can make us cry out eyes out one minute and then have us laughing hysterically the next.
It’s all about getting the emotions right, but there are plenty of situations that TV characters get themselves into that we can’t help but want to avoid. Love and romance are never easy, and there are plenty of fictional characters who go through the cringe-worthy moments we could only wish hadn’t happened to us.
It can be tricky at the best of times, but once you put super socially awkward characters together, you know you’re going to be watching through your fingers. These are the TV love scenes that made us all uncomfortable.

It’s hard to argue that Friends wasn’t one of, if not, the best sitcoms ever created. The gang of six got themselves into so many familiar situations that it was pretty much just imitating real life at times. One situation that we can only hope no one has really had to endure happened to Monica.
She was hiding in the bathroom at a party when her parents came into the room, but Monica was unable to escape before they started getting familiar with each other. Monica had little option but to hide in the bathtub while overhearing her parents in the same room.
