For the longest time, it seems as though Ted in How I Met Your Mother was destined to be together with Robin. It appeared as though she as the love of his life but eventually he realized he had to let her go.
That’s never easy in any person’s life but Ted literally lets her go, and she floats up into the sky as a symbol of that. It ruined the moment, and it felt really uncomfortable as Robin just floated up into the clouds.
