The Last Man on Earth straddles a fine line between “regular” humor and all-out absurdity. In the show’s third episode, it crosses that line. Protagonist Phil had just married Carol, who’s… a bit strange.
She makes a formal invitation about inviting him to the boudoir, and then proceeds to have the most uncomfortable bedroom talk you’ve ever heard. Choice example: “You better put the food in the trees before the bears get it!” Then, when it’s all over, she busts out a can of beans and just starts eating.
